Testimonials

Working with Tony is simply a pleasure. The programme was carried out with the minimum of fuss and with maximum sensitivity to the local political climate. The result: a high quality review report with an evidence base and methodology to back up the recommendations. It packs a punch, making it difficult for decision makers to ignore the findings.

Debbie Slater, Public Health Service Improvement Officer, Cumbria County Council (Review of Tier 4 detoxification services for Cumbria)

Tony was commissioned to undertake a review of shared care in Cumbria in 2012. Tony developed the methodology and worked with local commissioners, providers and stakeholders to deliver this project, which involved focus groups, a questionnaire survey of all practices in Cumbria and analysis of routine data sources. The results were then presented back to those involved. The final report and recommendations were extremely useful in moving the agenda forwards in Cumbria as shared care needed to be modernised. Tony’s report was excellent and demonstrated a clear understanding of the political context to the work and the locally specific issues. The project was managed very professionally and on time. I would highly recommend his work.

Simon Pyke, Associate Chief of Staff, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (Reviews of rehabilitation and crisis services)

As a past PCT Mental Health Commissioner, and now a CCG Associate Director I have commissioned a number of pieces of work from Tony over the years. The work has ranged from reviews of Drug and Alcohol services and Mental Health services, to large complex reviews of our out of area (OATS) health and social care clients.

In particular the OATS work led to the repatriation of a significant number of clients to the Borough which improved the quality of their care and derived significant financial savings for our health and care economy.

All the work has been of an extremely high standard. Tony’s expertise in Mental Health and Addiction services is second to none.
